PDO Thread Lifts Explained
PDO (polydioxanone) thread lifts are a treatment that involves the implantation of fine, absorbable polydioxanone threads in the sub-dermal skin. These threads stimulate the production of collagen and other proteins, helping the skin to become firmer, more moisturized and more elastic. Over a matter of months these threads break down, however they continue to stimulate collagen growth factors for up to 18 months!
PDO Thread Applications
Like most thread lift procedures, PDO threads can be applied to four major areas of the face: the cheeks, forehead and eyes, jowls and mouth, and neck. When implanted, PDO threads quickly go to work in these areas, restoring a youthful appearance to skin by improving its elasticity and firmness.
